Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026 · Merge JPG

Short version: Your images never leave your device. Merge JPG processes everything locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, or see any files you upload.

This Privacy Policy explains how Merge JPG handles information when you use our website and image merging tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being clear about what we do and do not collect.

1. Information We Collect

We collect very limited information to keep the website running. This includes basic, anonymous usage data such as which pages were visited, browser type, and approximate location at the country level. This is standard web analytics data and does not identify you personally.

If you send us a message through the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to reply to you.

2. Your Images and Files

This is the most important part of this policy. Your images are never uploaded to our servers.

The entire image merging process happens inside your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and JavaScript. When you add images to Merge JPG, they are loaded directly into your browser memory. When you click Merge, the processing happens on your own device. When you download the result, the file is saved directly to your computer or phone.

At no point does any image data travel over the internet to us or to any third party. We have no technical ability to access, view, or store your photos.

3. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. These tools collect anonymous data such as page views and session duration. This data helps us improve the tool. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. This will not affect your ability to use Merge JPG.

4. Third-Party Services

Our website may use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — for anonymous traffic statistics
  • Google Fonts — for typography, loaded from Google’s servers
  • WordPress — to power the website infrastructure

These services have their own privacy policies. We do not share any personal data with these services beyond what is standard for normal website operation.

5. Data Retention

Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and are then deleted. Anonymous analytics data may be kept for up to 26 months, which is standard for Google Analytics. We do not retain any image data because we never receive it.

6. Children’s Privacy

Merge JPG is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Since we collect very little personal data, these rights rarely apply. However, if you submitted a contact form and want us to delete your information, email us and we will do so.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
